This is great news for monkeys! I am always amazed by the foods God created and all the healing effects they have on our bodies. This is a simple way to improve health by adding bananas to smoothies, juices, cereals, as well as eating them plain.

Heart disease being the #1 killer people are searching for ways to protect their tickers. Eating bananas is a great way as they are high in magnesium. Magnesium protects the heart and strengthens bones.

Bananas are high in vitamin c which has infection fighting properties as well as antioxidants that help protect against free radical damage. Another great reason to go bananas is the effects they have on digestive health.

Bananas are rich in pectin that aids in gently eliminating heavy metals and toxins. They relieve heartburn as well as constipation. Bananas help increase calcium absorption and are also rich in vitamin A.

Bananas are also known to be a mood enhancer so may help fight depression. Since they are high in vitamin B 6 bananas can help regulate blood glucose, which can effect your mood.

Stress is rampant in our society and a major contributor to health issues. When we are stressed our potassium levels are depleted. Bananas can help to re balance this vital mineral. The B vitamins in bananas help calm the nervous system.

I have also read that the B vitamins in bananas can help with the recovery of withdrawals from nicotine. Since quitting smoking is a great start to getting healthy this could be a win win! I would love to hear if anyone has success with this approach.

I have read that the inside of the peeling of bananas are great for removing warts as well as reducing swelling and irritation from mosquito bites..

Bananas are also a great energy booster which is why they are popular among athletes. They are also great for the brain so you can get a mental and physical boost at the same time. Another great reason to go bananas to get healthy.

One of the biggest excuses I hear from people wanting to eat healthy is that they do not have time to prepare healthy foods. This is why everyone pulls through fast food restaurants for convenience right? So I always tell clients about what I like to call God”s fast food! It is as easy as peeling a banana and eating! Wow, that takes less time than the drive-thru!

I like to freeze them and put them in my nutri-bullet everyday. You can do this in a blender as well.

I add almonds and flax seeds as well (optional)

  1. I love bananas! They have been given a bad rap throughout the low carb craze. Frozen bananas, cocoa powder, and peanut butter put in the food processor make a creamy dessert!
